The International Service for Human Rights - Internships

The International Service for Human Rights is an independent, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights. We achieve this by supporting human rights defenders, strengthening human rights systems, and leading and participating in coalitions for human rights change.

ISHR’s internship program provides a wide range of opportunities for students and recent graduates who intend to work in an NGO and in the field of human rights.

ISHR recruits all year long and interns participate in ISHR's work in both Geneva and New York.

An ISHR internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about the workings of the international human rights system and the functioning of a human rights NGO. An internship will increase your understanding of current human rights issues at the international, regional and national levels. It will also enable you to develop your skills and competencies for future employment in the human rights sector.

We offer full-time and part-time internships from 3-6 months to work with the Programme team and the Support team (Communications, Fundraising, Administration and Finance).

Read more about our internships on our Frequently Asked Questions page, and find out about our current interns.
